Since the establishment of WTO there has been tussle between developed and developing nations over several key issues. We all are aware that Doha Negotiation is almost on the verge of failure, specially because of subsidies.
last day WTO chief Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala visited India. She strongly pitched the concerns of India at the international trade forums. She emphasized that at the multilateral forums like WTO the interest of devleoping nations like India has to be heard.
It should be noted that MC12 (Ministerial Conference) is going to be held in Geneva this year in the month of November and December.
She visited India to make background for the successful outcome of the upcoming meeting.
